The Parrot saga continues

So, the printer that my client chose to do the printing... well... he can't hack a 4 color job; he needs spot colors. So, I had to spend 2 hours last night redoing the colors so there was no gradation, shading, and delete the CMY channels from the PSD and save the file as a DCS 2.0.


Needless to say, it was a pain in the arse.


Oh, and dead mouse in the pool this morning. Awesome!

I was given some instruction to make it more realistic than my initial sketch (below).

Turns out they wanted more like what I had last year, which is where I was GOING to go with it. Oh well.

YEAH!!!

Got chastized for lack of updates...

And lack of drawing of late, so, I'll kill two mockingbirds (YEAH!) this week. I've been asked to design for the second year in a row a family friend's Labor Day pool party T-shirt. This year is an inebriated parrot, last year was a croc'd crocodile. Below is last year's effort (sketch and final). I'll chronicle this year's in the next few days (Final is due Friday morning, so I have 48 hours)

Wow! Not sure what to make of all this, but, oh well.

Primary reason for this blog is to be able to comment on my great friend (and my brother-in-law's sister) Susan's blog posts about her animation!!! But, I'll try my hand on ramblings and rantings as well.
